I was just about to ask where all the old guys were? Honestly I feel like a ass clown throwing a pic on cause it looks like somebody just trying to keep their thread on top.
Thank you. And what IS happening with your project?
This ride started in 2003. We knew at some point, if we lived long enough, that there would come a time to just sit down and assemble all the painted finished prefitted parts. Now it's happening more and more. |

keep the pictures coming. makes us all happy to see someone working on stuff. Especially cool stuff like you've got going on. I'm working on my 52 these days. not as wild as the last build and slower progress since work is crazy now. |

Upsidedown steering box cover (oil pan) possible choices. Only reason aluminum cover was a choice is because no holes. Would have to file away the billit grooves. Original cover accepts 1/8" npt tapered plugs.

Looking really good , always check out this thread !
Nice to see the painted stuff coming together.
Just wondering what wheel & master cylinders are you planning on using ?
Guess Ford fronts are lot bigger than original VW ? |

Thank you. We're going to see what works when using a vw dual circuit Master cylinder using proportional valve between master cylinder and rear brakes. If it works great if it doesn't we'll figure something else out. Wheels right now are going to be 15 in Cal-Part rear and 15 in steel Ford Wheels front. That's the plan anyway. |
