came across this bradley marlene, merc 540k replica, which is for sale in holland. never seen one before but looks very well done, there's a video of it driving on http://www.autoschipper.nl price is E20k which is steep considering the engine doesn't have any air filter...

It appears to be set up to recirculate hot engine air too!
Pretty car though... |

Not too many of those around. I'd have to Subaru that sucker... look at all that space for a radiator up front! |

Or... a TDI engine. That would give it the occasional puff of smoke and a bit of a rattle to enhance the "Antique automobile" image in parades and parking lot gatherings but still have enough muscle to stay with the traffic. It would get amazing fuel mileage too for those long summer highway cruises!
Love those wheels! |

How about the TDI up front and a 944 or Audi 5000 transaxle in the back to give it some real handling in the mountain passes? |

There's some window screen mesh over the throat of the carb. That should filter out anything harmful right? _________________ '69 Beetle

For that price, there shouldn't be any rust on the car. _________________ Never be a follower...Do your own thing, make it your own! |
