|

Searching found nothing, but this is something I just have to fix.
When I open my trunk it seems to need to go up another 3 feet further so I can get my head in there.
Is there any custom hinges I can get to let the trunk lid open further?
Even just a photo of the hinge will work. I could then draw them up and have them cut myself.
I really need to fix this |

Flipping a switch raises the car
The trunk still need to open further. If I cut them out of 1/4" thick steel I can make the part the tucks into the dash thinner and back further. This *should* let them open further. Then maybe I can put struts on them.
Maybe I'll make mock-ups of of wood first. |

I'll be interested to see what you come up with, just make sure the hood opening doesn't hit into the wiper arms and damage itself. _________________ 1972 Standard Beetle
