Gentlemen, I have my ragtop at the upholstery shop to install the headliner and 3-fold ragtop mechanism.

Can anyone please help me with a video or sequential pictures of the process? A different guy dismantled the ragtop and we are not sure on the optimal way to install it back

Many thanks for your help!

Gentlemen, I had a meeting with the upholstery guy and showed him the post and the videos you guys recommended. Tremendous help. Many thanks

Now the question I have is on the rebuild kit I bough from vwrunroofs.com. The front bow is clear, but I have doubts for the 2nd and 3rd bow.

Can you please help me identify what all these parts are for?

Many thanks as always!

Hard to tell in the bag but they look like the rollers and sliders. Did you see all of the videos? Here's the first one (of five). All parts are covered in the videos.

Go to https://grumpysmetal.com/bug/bug-1954-55.html

Look at the diagram on that page.
Items: 31, 30, 29 , 28, 27, 26 are what you have in the bag. Basically the pads, sliders, and bolts needed for the 2nd and 3rd bow to slide around in the metal rails.

Those parts are to rebuild either side of the two trailing bows.

As has been stated, Grumpys metal has an excellent video on how they go together.
