Hello, I have a 69 vw bug, lowered in the front, running 145/65 r15s.
I found a set of 175/55s at a good price. Will I be able to make the swap to the new size without any problems? Marty

Other than the sidewall being a little closer to the fender it shouldn't be a problem. I found when running 145's and then 135's that it was hard to find that perfect balance- they were either too hard and rode unnecessarily rough or wallowed when softened up. I think you'll like the 25% larger footprint the 175/55's will give the car.

As usual, just my 2 1/2 cents (I'm Canadian, eh). Al

PS- please report back when you change over- I'm interested in your impressions and observations!

Your car looks great, btw. Rear tire size?

Thanks for the info. I'm running 205/65s on the rear and I put the new tires on my list to Santa. I've pretty good this year, so I'll post new pictures when they come in and I get them mounted and balanced. Marty

I´m running 165/65 at the front, with dropped spindles and adjustable beam.
