so im working at replacing all the rusty bits on my 70 fastback. time to replace the heater channel and lower door cowl. doing it with the body on frame due to the fact that my garage is the size of a peanut. i have replaced heater channels on a beetle and these are quite different. easier to cut out and swap on a fastback as there are far less curves but more of a cosmetic headache as the cowl joins together onto it. also ensuring the heater duct flap is operational before welding everything in place is essential. slowly feeling like im starting to win the battle.

Looks awesome! Might I ask where you got the panels at and do those work the same for a squareback?

These little threads keep me motivated to keep hustling on mine. Smile

i got the heater channel from cip1 and the door cowl actually came with the car when i bought it. i think it was from cip1 also. the heater channel was expensive but good quality in my opinion and fit great.

Great work on those lower pieces. They are a pain but I'm sure you'll be the happy with the results. Cool

Where did you get them from, and how do they fit together? That's what's everyone wants to know.
