Damn, the mother lode. Sweet little racers, pressed bumper panel, and a Chevy cameo. Picture is totally repost worthy. Thanks!

Saw this photo in another thread. The fact that place is still in business is mind blowing to me.

How cool would it be to re-stage that old photo?

Exactly the same!

It was common to use a 2-letter "code" in place of the first two digits when writing down or reading a telephone number. K on the touchpad is 5, and is I is 4.

A two-letter code, often represented verbally by a word starting with the first 2 letters, and only 5 digits, is easier to remember than a full 7-digit number. Now we have 10! But we have smart phones, so it doesn't matter.

For example, my old number used to start with the prefix 347. But we all referred to our number as DIAMOND-7, xxxx.

The area I live used to have just the last 4 digit dialing, as the area grew they added the prefix. Now that practically everyone has a phone number eventually we will run out of numbers or add another digit in the area code. Gees glad I am out of the industry.

Gordon - in the Prescott area many business just list 7-digit phone numbers, just assume the 928.

When I got my TracFone, TracFone couldn't retain my same 602 phone number from my analog phone unless I went to Phoenix and set up the phone while there. And even from my residence they wanted to assign me a 480 area code, so I had to travel west a few miles to register it while in a 602 geographical area. I have no idea why.
