Hey guys,
I recently "opened" up one of my parts carbs and noticed a small channel cut into the throttle body between the two channels. This is ground into the side of the throttle body that mounts into the carb not the manifolds. Initially I thought a piece had broken out but after inspection, it has been intentionally ground. Has any one ever seen this and is there any reason to do this?
Thanks,
J

Yours must be Porsche carb bases, the P010's vw Zenith NDIX bases had a connection gap between the intake's cast in. Actually it's better on Dual carb setups to have the un-modified Porsche kind.
But if your running a single center-mounted zenith it might help Idle.
