Hello there,
I thought I should give this thread a bump by posting photos of the latest changes to my buggy. Which I think give it a more vintage/contemporary feel than before. The plastic headlights have been replaced with a set of stainless ones, and it now has a new set of 6"rims from Justkampers. Unfortunately the only tyres I could get for them lose about an inch in profile to the previous fronts. I also ditched the bullet style wings mirrors, whilst very retro, they stuck out too far, were quite big, yet I still couldn't see anything in the passenger one because the window frame got in the way. |

Hope I'm not posting too many pictures of my buggy on this thread. I just added a flower sticker. My mental image of a buggy is defined by the contents of my toy box as a kid |

1966 Dune Runner Mini Mercedes. My first ever nostalgia buy, my dad bought one of these in 1968, grew up with it and had a ball. I like the Manx look and all, but love the hood on these. Probably because it was ours 50 years ago. Anyway, this one is a work in progress, but aside from the motor (1600dp) wheels and seats this is as built originally.

Junior year of high school, 1969-1970, built it when I was 15, started driving it the day I turned 16. |

It was a very nice and cool buggy then, you should restore it back to its original glory...

YDBD the picture taken of the buggy with the skis on the front in the snow, was that taken at the Blue Canyon airport in California. I can remember reading and seeing pictures about that being done there back in the early 1970s. _________________ Joseph
