So I have a 60 single cab which has been severely smashed in the nose, then left in a field for years and shot at. The floor is good and lower pillars are good, and the front valance and doglegs are good. I have a 60 cab that is good except for the floor and area just below the hinge plates, front valance and doglegs.

I would like to swap the upper cab section over. It appears that I can cut just above the lower hinge plates on the wrecked one, and just above the latch area behind the doors. I want to swap the nose over, but keep the lower valance. My instinct is to cut just under the lip between the nose and valance, so that after the welding is done, bodywork will be obscured by that lip. Any tips on what to do here?

I don't have a way to take pictures for now. Hopefully my description is enough. Any help is appreciated, especially what areas come apart just by cutting out or drilling a few welds. Thanks in advance.

Any ideas? Tips from the experienced folks here? I plan to start today or Sunday. I'll be winging it since I've never really done anything quite like this. I'm pretty good with measurements and making things work in general, so I think it will work out. I just want it to go as smooth as possible.

Good luck, I prefer to use factory seams to ensure perfect dimensions, but if you are OK with mid panel seams then do it.
Post some pics.

Since the valance is sold separately, I figured there must be a seam somewhere in there. As far as the other parts, it is just pure luck (good or bad, not sure yet) that what is bad on one cab is good on the other.
