|

Been looking for a flip out window for my 85 Vanagon camper. Found one for sale but it has a crack on the inside:
Anyone know if it would be possible to take it apart, and replace the inner window for a handmade bit of Plexiglas or so?
Is the inside flat? Is it possible to take a pop out window like this apart?
Thanks for the thoughts. Didn't have the chance to look at it in real life yet. They are pretty hard to get so would like to give it a try |

It would be challening to take it apart as more often the 2 edges are sonic welded together on the outside edge. If your not interented in this one for sale, let me know. I have actually been doing research in for the last 3 weeks on manufacturing these again for the vanlife industry. Would love to get an original to learn more from and also understand the handles and stay struts.
Thanks |

Nice first post, CC25. I'm not sure about the vanlife industrial-media complex but I'd be interested in a dual-pane awning window for my van.
Keep us updated.
Thanks. _________________ - Jim

I'm hoping some ambitious soul will create an awning/jalousie window with screens. Integrated blinds would be groovy, too. Something similar to the Dometic RV windows. |
