Ya I get the need to avoid injury and trauma, and at first it was a bit of an enduring thing, like the speaker really cared about you but now it is such an overused habit. Every conversation with everyone seems to end with some exhortation to "be safe"! ARGG!!!
"Actually the bus is due on 97th and Wilson St. so I am going to go jump in front of it because I love pain and agony!"

Transparency. If you have to tell people that your business is transparent, then you have a history of not being transparent. And you probably still aren't.
And one of my favorites - "I'm going to try to (fill in the blank)." As in "I need some help moving a couch. Can you come by and help me tomorrow?" And the other person responds "I'll try to come by." 75 percent chance they aren't. "I'll try to" usually just means no.

For many decades I have been ending conversations or sending off friends with the line "drive fast, take chances". Most folks get it.

Better yet, "Safe Space", "Comfort Zone", "Positive Space", "Cry Closets". Which brings other terms into the equation such as "Comfort Pets", "Emotional support pets", & all the other crap that allows these mentally unstable snowflakes to continue living with the unrealistic illusion that life is fair & that you can breeze through it without any hardships, confrontations, or getting your damned feeling hurt.

He's right. Feelings hurt? Really?? A tree growing with nothing to challenge it's strength will grow up weak. And not be able to handle a strong wind when it comes.

it would be 100% technically correct to call it an electric drilling engine, but people would think you were 120 years old.
Motor means motion, or an engine that makes motion.
Engine just means "machine" or "method", it does not have to be mechanical, but in the mechanical age it became slang for machine,
So you combine it with another word to describe the type of method and/or the purpose. Search engine.....searches. We mainly use otto traction engines in vws. 
Using the word engine by itself is slang. It should be paired with what it does and/or how ti does it.
If somebody says that their engine is broken they don't mean google, or the republican party, but those too are engines.
Same with welders. They say.....I am a welder, this(mig welder) is a welding machine. BUT, actually it's a welding engine, and if it doesn't need an operator then maybe you need to find a new career???
What's the point? Pretty much everything is slang. Language is imperfect and words are born to be abused. |

You have to be more precise with 'Patriot'. It requires allegiance with America first and foremost. We clean our backyard first before we invite guests over. And we have invited plenty. They're welcome as long as they come legally.

It requires no allegiance to anything other than the Idea. Allegiance to the current America is confusing as there are more than one America out there. Unfortunately, there's a lot of detris here already that should be cleaned out so we can focus on the actual America.
I'm speaking more to who is already here.

You have to want what is obviously best for America. America has to come first, and all Americans in it. And perpetuate this idea all the time. Wanting open borders is not patriotic in my opinion. Sanctuary cities is not patriotic. The flag cannot be offensive. You must support our troops and President NO MATTER WHAT. If your guy lost, you MUST get over it and support our President. Otherwise we are divided. And it goes both ways. Patriotism=America first. The second amendment comes into play here as well. Guns are the tools that ensure our sovereignty. Flat-out. Anything other than that is questionable, and leads to incrementalism.

Psst, they're no longer leaning that way, they pretty much embrace, promote, & run on the ideology now.
And, as of today, you can legally have an abortion at 9 months in NY, no doctor required.
