@vwthingboy
l have an EFI system for you Smile
l remember your last visit vividly.. Seems like my dad cooked us a meal, and invited you..

Lyle has a Tangerine system, and my engine has something thats a bit of a twist. The Tangerine system l had built for the car 18 years ago is now too large for the engine, so l tried something new.

Did you try a DA polisher and a polish or maybe even a compound then a polish? You can go over to autogeek.net and there is a lot of info on their forms as well as products. If you can provide me some close up photos of the decklid maybe I can provide some suggestions. I assume you used some types of APCs and degreasers etc..

If that does not work then you will probably need to pull the decklid and have it repainted and you indicated.

Nice looking Things!

I am not sure what chemicals you tried on that decklid. I see Jake mentioned steam (usually really good when used with an APC and allowed to dwell).

Here are some suggestions from least aggressive to most (all need to be followed by a compound and a polish which you can do my hand or machine):

1. Heavy clay bar https://www.autogeek.net/chemical-guys-black-clay-bar.html
2. All Purpose Cleaner (1st try diluted then full power if needed) https://www.autogeek.net/optimum-power-clean-apc.html
3. Stoner Citrus Cleaner https://www.autogeek.net/xenit.html
4. Bug and Tar remover https://www.autogeek.net/tarminator.html?productid...gLjffD_BwE
5, 3M adhesive remover (great for wheel weights too) https://www.autogeek.net/3m-adhesive-cleaner.html
6. Anything that would be used to remove overspray like mineral spirits as outlined here https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101-a/14340-overspray.html
7. Wet sand and buff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zDuFzvKSAI
