OK Seattle my first ever VW meet up was the GSBG in 2014. It set the standard. I came up up from Portland 3 hours south to be a part of this. I met many people I’m still in contact 5 years later. Hell Xatie’s bus “Greta” is in this meet up before we bought it from ronin10, years later.
So new bus owner (2fast4me) wants to meet some bus owners from the SeaTac area and the only person that shows up is Bleyseng? Good on you Bleyseng. I’m coming up next Saturday the 9th. Zelton and Xatie are in for a meet up around 5:00. So come on, meet up and represent. Unless they laying salt on the road. Get your ACVW our Van out. I say we meet up in George Town. But you tell me. I’m open to wherever. Just have good parking and a family friendly place so people can bring kids.
It’s a Saturday with less traffic so no excuses. _________________ Keep on Busin'

Sounds great to me! Need to double check with the boss (the wife) and make sure we don't have anything else planned already. The only thing I'm seeing on our calendar is the Chinese New Year food walk in the ID, but we'll probably do that around lunch time. _________________ 1970 Deluxe Bay Window Bus

Haha ... we flew under the radar last night
So we're in for next Saturday. I put it on our calendar and my wife gave me the thumbs up. She and our 4 month old daughter will be joining too (driving separately so they can peace out when Harper has had enough VW's and is ready for nap / bedtime). Do we want to look for an area where we can park (similar to your images) and walk to a spot to eat and grab a drink? _________________ 1970 Deluxe Bay Window Bus

5pm in Georgetown should be good. Airport Way as well as the lot at Stellar Pizza and Star Brass should be fairly open. Half the fun is figuring out who has the space. _________________

Um...late to the game. Had the e-mail notification sitting in my forums folder for days. If I'm checking in once a week these days, I'm doing good.
Unfortunately, next Friday, I'm all tied up, but roll on without me. I think Saturday is in the works though, right Xevin and Zelten? _________________ Andrew

That was a fun get together. I had to leave for work straight from there. There's my Bay next to Lynn's HiTop. _________________ 1978 Delux Campmobile

This get together is honestly an untapped event for me while I was there. I enjoyed the VW folks as well as a Hot rod/classic American metal or two when I did go. Doughnuts and coffee?

I second Bleyseng's nomination of Counterbalance Brewery. Their beer is pretty good, they have some snack items (pretzels, peanuts, etc.) and there is a lot of food in the area that's walkable, most of which offer vegetarian items. The taproom is also kid friendly, so little ones are welcome (we'll be brining our 4.5 month old).
I Luv Teriyaki (we've gotten take out from here, it's pretty good)
Matts Famous Chili Dogs (we've gotten dogs from here and they're good)
Katsuburger
SoDo Chicken
Pho Ha
No pizza in the immediate area, but Flying Squirrel Pizza is a 5 minute drive, or they deliver.
If we choose to go here (or elsewhere for that matter) I can give them a shout and see if we can get an area reserved for what, 10 or 15 people? 5:00 sounds like it works for a few, so let's shoot for then.
Weather might be hit or miss ... we got about 6" of snow at the house here in West Seattle Sunday and they're calling for more snow this weekend ... _________________ 1970 Deluxe Bay Window Bus

The Volkswagen sleeps for a couple more months. But I may be able to link up after work this Saturday in the water pumper for some tequila and tall tales. I think I still owe someone a couple shots from 2015
Ps I think I dry humped Lynn’s high top last time I saw it. Couldn’t be helped. That thing is sexy |
