|
|
Hello,
I have seen several people over the years take a FWD vehicle and use it as a donor for a trike. While I wasn't there for the builds they seem to work well. My question is, how would you address locking the steering? The wheels on the ones I have seen no longer turn steering wise.
Is that simply welded in place once you determine it's straight?
Just wondered. |

depends on what vehicle is the donor I think, but I have seen a citroen 2cv with the engine/drive put in the back to make it mid engined. he welded the track rods to the suspension arms, both rods have adjusters so the toe-in can be adjusted.

Maybe use Fiero spindles. They are probably narrower than most FWD. so you get axles, too. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far
