I think Wolfsburg West sells the same TMI interior that CIP1 is offering. I could be wrong. I used the WW covers on my bus. They have held up decently but don't compare in quality to the ones that Corey is offering. I had a friend install those and made mine look like dollar store discount covers. _________________ Oil Capital Air Cooled

I was debating the same thing recently.
I bought the WW... unhappy/returned... paid restocking fee & shipping two ways.
Just go with the good stuff & cry once.

I bought WW ‘63/‘64 seat covers.
They’re going back.
Piping is 24% larger than original. I could live with that, but the color is way off.
I think TMI is much closer (I have a swatch from them).
I’ll see what they or Blackdog1999 has.

I believe WW sells mostly TMI stuff. I bought the WW stuff about 6 years ago and its held up well.
Corey's stuff (which is Matt's stuff) is really nice and very true to the original material but you definitely pay a premium. Just depends on what your looking for. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Here’s the good stuff.
I have a tarp on the roof... sorry it’s a little dark.
The original rear seat backrest was nice... so, I only replaced the bottom.
Pretty much can only tell the difference, because the new piping isn’t sun yellowed (last pic shows OG & new).

Like to make a statement, Matt Millers is the best, Corey came along and put a whopping high price on it a few years back..but yes it is the best. Youll still need the coconut-matting and backing. _________________ .

Corey's look very nice. Ouch though on price. By the time you get the proper pads, etc you are at ~$1000 (for my single cab). May be worth it.
I just bought a set from WW (Mesh Grey) and currently rebuilding the seats. Not mentioned here and probably just as important than the quality of seats is how they are put together and the use of the proper padding.
So far pleased with results. Not sure how they will hold up. We will see. |

I ordered mine in mesh grey through WW and used horsehair pads. They are TMI and I really like how they turned out. They are a bit stiff compared to the foam pads. This was the second time I've re-covered a set of VW seats. The most difficult part was getting the long plastic tab into the channel in the seat back.

I would likely go with WW except for this pic .That just doesn't work for me. I really like the original commercial material. Maybe if I needed mesh I would be ok with WW

In each kit you will receive the covers themselves, jute padding, cotton padding, & burlap. The only additional thing you might need is the "coconut pads" |
Sounds like all I need is the pads for Corey's covers so will run about 1200 CND total cost for front seats. The actual price difference is around 300 CND from WW covers. $1200 is a lot but so is $800 the WW will cost in the end. Spending money on something you like is much easier to take than spending on something you are not happy with. _________________ My 64 Kombi restoration

Exactly!!! I searched years for a nice original soft green front seat. Finally gave in and ponied up for the Corey/Matt cover and couldn't be happier with the fit and color match! Yeah it's more $$ but trust me you won't regret buying it!! _________________ 58 Coral Red ragtop(Diana's car)
