I’m looking at purchasing a Vanagon that’s not too far away from me. I asked the seller to send me some pictures of the undercarriage to see if there’s rust. In one of the pictures, there is a nice big hole where something goes. Per the description nothing should be missing.

Basically the same chassis was used on WBX as was used for the Air Cooled version.
That hole is where the hot air ducts for the heating system were on the air cooled Vanagons.
Nothing useful is missing.

The two rubber hoses on the right replaced the duct when they went to the hot water heater.

I will. We’ve pretty much worked out the details but now we are just waiting for the title to come back in his name. I’m hoping it comes in this week.
