Where did you find the pictures of Tom & Donna's Green Manx?
Tom built it when he got back from Vietnam. He still has the original Gates tires in the back. All original from when he first built it. _________________ Joseph

You know, I don't remember! I have been collecting period photos for a while so I must have come across it somewhere. I love that buggy! _________________ Caleb

Is Tom on this site? If so what is his username or what does the car look like now? |

I don't think Tom visit this site. Buggy looks the same except for different seat covers.
Geoff from Canada built one that looks very similar looking. I seen it to in person when he brought it to Southern California several years ago. _________________ Joseph

Now how many of the readers of this are going to know that's Art Linkletter in the driver's seat or who in the world he was? That's the regular crew from his show. I wonder if this Manx was used to run around his development in Pagosa Springs CO. Not too good in the winter. But great for teh summer there. _________________ Richard

That sure looks like Lawrence Welk and his group in the Meyers Manx buggy.
I have seen the picture before. _________________ Joseph

Derp...
Old age Senior moment. Wrong old TV Fart. Old to ME, that is!
Wrong resort owner too. Welk's company has a chain of resorts from Temecula, CA. to Branson, MO, to Lake Tahoe, to Cabo San Lucas. _________________ Richard

LOL
Ya gotta be pushin' 60 to have a clue. So I'm sure that passes over a large percentage of the population around here. Neither was known even then for any interest in dune buggies or motorsports at all. But then, the Manx isn't well over 50 years of age. _________________ Richard

This was taken at a little Beach between Corona Delmar and Laguna Beach.
It had a small mobile home community on it then and now it's all beach only.
That was a early yellow pan car.
That was the very early stage of the first pan car.
I was told that car wasn't really complete yet but had the opportunity then with photographer at that time.
