Many wire diagrams can he found under the "technical " tab at top of the samba page. as prior person stated, there are US versons, and others. mainly do to differences in lighting requirements. But most of the wires are the same regardless.

There are three wiring diagrams in the Tech section of this site that apply to the ‘68-69 Beetles. Specifically look at the E-flasher relay and the brake switches. You may need to combine two diagrams to cover all your components. For example, your car may have come with three brakes switches (early style) but over the decades the master cylinder was replaced with a 2-switch MC. Or your E-flasher system may have been upgraded from the early 7-prong flasher relay to the later 4-prong style.

Also, with a non-US Beetle your turn signal+parking light assemblies may be different. The wire colors will be the same but the assemblies may be different.

Other than these things the rest of the wiring should be pretty much the same. The RHD car places the steering column further away from the main harness that comes up from the left A-column well so harness wise you need a RHD specific harness with longer leads that will reach across the back side of the dash to reach the speedo and column located on the right side. But the entire steering column is identical to the LHD model. The turn signal lever is STILL on the left of the wheel (which is odd for a RHD car).

Here is an alternative to the normal US only Bentley wiring diagram for VW 1500 August '67 onwards i.e 1968 model.

It was printed in black and white so that is all I've got. It should be the same for your vehicle in Malaysia.

Most of the RHD's of your vintage did not have the emergency flashers which were commonplace in the US so most of those comments regarding them are not relevant. But of course you may have something different.
