| Hello, i saw a 58-66 bug in the forest on my way to school the other day. it is sitting far out in the forest from the road. was there a year of bug where they didn't come with over rider bumpers? |

No..
US Spec and destined cars YES had over rider bumpers.
Euro and other Country specs cars.. No.. well maybe some.
Chances are.. if the car is abandoned in the woods... . its been scavenged already..
Another possibility a Euro transplant abandoned in the USA.
Even more likely.. = previous owner syndrome.. who knows. and anyone's guess.

| My 1964 was a European delivery and it has the stock over rider bumpers. |

they were optional in rest of the world, also many owners retrofitted them,
some countries also got them as their only option (Italy and Brazil I think for example) |
