I’m thinking this R P set is a bit toast.

Upps, sorry, you asked about the r+p condition.
I would not install this r+p into a clients box. But i am sure with new bearing a right setting, i i could drive it another 100k km.

Since I am taking the time to send this box out and have an aluminum gear carrier and all new bearings installed plus other bits... I am beginning to think that a new R+P is in order. When I look at the cost of shipping, new parts, labor, and the challenges with pulling the drivetrain outside my apartment in Oslo... doing the job correctly the first time is worth the added cost of the €700 R+P set.

I drive a 2.2L tencent powered van in Norway and Europe. My goal here is a trouble-free box for 200,000 km.

The current transaxle with 250,000 km that is in the van will be swapped with the rebuilt this summer.
