I was wondering how many of you have the Weekenders/ tintop Westys Baywindows? I'm interested in comparing options, seeing interior photos, etc. There doesn't seem to be much that I've found yet searching on Weekenders/ tintop Westys, and I'd like to compile a list of info |

But you are right. Not to many around. The pop tops seem to have survived more so now a days. When I see a Tin Top its usually once a year? _________________

My 73 Tintop looks like yours. Same color too.
It came with the sink and icebox and head banger shelf and closet.... bed cabinet says Westfalia and the sink cabinet said Campmobile. I just didn't want that layout,. It was too cluttered and I wanted something more open and modular. I wanted to be able to put a couple of mountain bikes inside also.
So I sold off all of that stuff - Got a nice cash purchase that essentially lowered my purchase price of the bus.
Picked up some early bay bumpers and painted those white - didn't care for the chrome bumpers it came with.
I kept the rear seat/ bed and the cushions. Nice and open. Heres a few shots from a show last year.
Hobo.

My new-to-me 1971 Weekender. Bought it in March and have been spending most of the weekends getting the wonky engine sorted out. Looks like November '70 build, SF delivery, and appears to have always been in the Bay Area.
Started life Pastel White, was orange by the mid-90s, teal and white after that, red and white now (before I bought it).
It's my first bay and I dig it. Learning a lot about them and what changed between the end of the split era and now (then...whichever). Most of the interior is there and original. No tent or rear screen...nor the sink/fridge, but the rest is pretty much there and the family loves it, too. _________________ 9th Owner of a 1971 Tintop Westy
