They changed to those large elephant ones in 73. You should be good. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

I put 1968 NOS taillights on my 71 Standard and they bolted on perfectly without any modifications. You do however, need to get the rubber for that year taillights

That's a very shiny car. Did you seal the vents on the sides? _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

I think that is a wise choice. I'm doing the same currently. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

On US spec Beetle, the earlier front turn signal base will bolt to the 1970 fender with a little enlarging of the mounting holes. But, the larger turn signal for the 1970 has an extra hole. I don't remember if the smaller light covers that extra hole. _________________ Brian

I didn't enlarge any holes, the rubber base gasket has a rubber plug moulded in that fits into the extra hole in the fender |

So the only issue is you loose running lights right? |

Yep but I converted mine to eu spec where we have running lights in the headlights not the turn signals. |
