We saw this bus at the Mendocino 4th of July parade several years ago. It had the bamboo rocker back then with the mural paint. Cool bus for sure. Crazy hippie hack repairs. Glad it's getting another lease on life. Great work so far!!

That's awesome. Do you happen to have any pictures of it from the parade?

Awesome job sir! I can unequivocally say that I could nor would ever handle a project like this. For me, the lack of time, skills and $$$ would definitely rule me out. Thanks for posting these updates so that the rest of us can dream. Popcorn

Good find

For some reason I have the un-resistable urge to walk up to your bus with some 600 wetsand and a garden hose , lol

All joking aside , that bus is in better hands now , enjoy it --Shannon

Ill have a look to see. Where did you pick up the bus from? I assumed the bus was from the area.

It came out of SoCal. I had it shipped to me (which turned into a nightmare)

Got her back from paint last weekend. Not perfect, but will definitely fit our needs. I'm almost done building the 1776, then the reassembly begins!

On the cargo doors in a panel conversion can you use the rounded camper windows vs the square panel windows? There is a built in sill/ ledge on the panel doors. I am wondering how your bus cargo doors look on the inside. Thanks

Yes, I think you could use a rounded edge window on the doors.

When we bought the bus, it had really cool old cedar barn wood on the ceiling. We sanded the Patchouli smell off of it and glued it to the cargo floor. I had some really great helpers on this part of the project.

We still have the finishing touches to put on, but she's road and campsite worthy! The maiden voyage is this weekend.

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. We've just been slowly working on finishing the interior. Most of the hard stuff is done, now it's getting to the finishing touches.

We got the interior finished and picked up a bay window tent. It doesn’t fit perfectly, but works well for us.

Now she’s with a local photographer for family Christmas photos.
