I hate people who steal lines as signature quotes, but man this is so tempting. Maybe for a week...or a year.

Because if you add a disco ball to the interior you might need more room to dance.

I don't recommend this on a early bay, they just aren't built that sturdy

I disagree, you can see the flex in that roof along the gutter/seal gap. It's the same top as the early bays, we had one, no way I would put any weight directly on it.

Correct... and at least '73 got stronger flat bar hinges but I still wouldn't put weight up there. Migrating from a '70 to an '84 I'm blown away by how much more structural the entire pop top and associated parts are.

In the old days we just stood there.
Now there's a different standing style.

Mtn bike trip around 1993, with some Hawaii friends.
Near Mammoth Mountain, CA.

Killer piece of the planet there! BIG vertical relief! I was lucky enough to build a skatepark there for 3 months a couple of years ago!

Maybe, but the picture was taken with the camera pointing south and it was the afternoon.

That’s an old-school tARP awning
.....and there’s a fold down table hinged on the passenger door.
