Cool. Looks like 3 23 windows and maybe another red one behind the light pole in the back.

Mango Bus and another Bus behind it on the left side.

Maybe another blue or purple(?) Bus in the center behind the poles of that large structure?

This was posted to the Bahamas sub on Reddit. The caption was Prince George's Dock, Nassau. 1960s.

So were deluxe buses offered in different colors over there or do you think these were re sprays? those look to be late 50's early 60's and they are not your standard swr/bgr

Yes, unique colors on all three 23 window buses. Only the White/White bus that could be stock. The other two are most likely resprays, or extremely rare special order colors.

What struck me most about this photo is the total lack of Beetles! All these buses and not a Beetle to be seen. Highly unusual for the period in which this was taken.

Is this a Barndoor in the corner? I got it from one of my Austin Healey groups in Italy.

About the colors of the buses in the Bahamas photo... I was wondering about the yellow and white bus. I thought it might be Pearl White over Ivory. That would be a cool combination for the tropics. It looks to have factory Safaris. But the nose emblem is painted, which makes me think it's a respray.

The lack of Beetles may be owing to the fact it's a port facility and they were shuttling larger groups of people to hotels?

Or maybe just hacks for everyday use by the locals. Like parts hauling for the races. Laughing

Or then again just in the back ground for every day use. Taxis and just regular cars.

I would assume it started out as a black and white photo that was later "colorized".

The grain looks like the original was Kodachrome to me. Not colorized.

Looks to be a nice safe place to take the girls far away from boys. Think the seat is without protection against rasping out the paint it is up against?
