I did some cleanup, got tires mounted and used the old football trick on the nose.

I actually took them off and straightened them then put them back on afterwards. The screws would have popped the ball probably. _________________ GFK

I actually used the only thing I could borrow at the time which was a 2/3 rugby ball designed with a flat end so you can throw or pass it against a wall and it will bounce back to you. I didn't know they existed before that day and have not seen one since. I don't think the odd shape was the reason behind it not really working, probably more my positioning of the dent initially and the ball to try and pop it out I could have done with bracing the inner panel and heater tube as that was moving too much. It was an interesting experiment. I would do it again if needed, maybe with an Australian Football...? |
