The ones that actually do sell for house money generally have good pics. Not that good pics can make a bus sell for much more than it is worth.

Well let’s not forget the fact that they are asking 100k for an unfinished CLONE 13 window 21

For $45k, I'd expect that underneath to be much nicer with proper wrap on the heater tube.

Isn't that Hot Dog Fred's bus in the background?

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about house money, where I live you can not buy a starter home in a decent neighborhood for less than $300k. I know in CA the home prices are way higher than the prices we have here Las Vegas, NV.

Looks like the median house price in Texas is $197k. In Houston it’s a little less. It may be cheaper/more expensive where Eric G. lives. In Vegas it’s 276.5k. In California it’s 393k.

I would say, for a more realistic look at California, look where the vast majority of people reside:

Southern California median home price: $518,500 https://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-southern-california-home-prices-20190426-story.html

San Francisco Bay Area: $830,000 https://www.sfchronicle.com/business/article/Bay-A...psid=4HVjI

(And those are both down!)

Not by the longest long shot! That’s phatchick wheels. HDF’s Foust bus had pretty much “one offs” wheels. Eh?

For many people spending six figures on a bus means that the bus would be their house. This isn't all that bad, because its not like you can drive a house to work, but you can sleep in your car. Hell, I hear that an RV parked on a public street is what they call a starter house in San Jose now.

median house prices mean that there are just as many below that price as above it. Not that people would want to live in many of those places, or pay six figures for an unfinished roof-clipped bus with terrible pictures.

If you are OK living in fly-over country, you can afford both a house and a bus. Just keep an eye out for tornados.

Yep, you can buy a very nice house in Houston for under that. the thousand houses currently for sale over $1MM kinda skew the data. avg list price is 289K

yep. Someone a lot of us know here just bought himself a new camper for the back of his truck

With a decent State average of income and a lower average of home costs, yes, Texas is a Dancing state. Laughing

If your going to sell a bus (and especially a camper) you might want to include some interior shots in your ad.

Obviously the guys doesn't know what he's talking about, first off Calling it a camper van then bragging about varnished wood cabinets.
I think he is trying to sell a future finished bus, but I can't imagine it turning out well, not for that price.
