This is an old 1960's magazine ad for a company called turbonique. I helped a friend install one in his '64 Beetle. I'm sure it wasn't the same one as in the "Black Widow" but rather a bolt on a street version. He immediately burnt holes in the tops of two pistons.

Sure, and the Sizzler a 1965 396 Chevelle too, which ran 150+ mile a hour quarter mile times which seemed uneventful, as my 64 Tempest with a blown 421 Pontiac engine ran 8:80's at 168mph and stayed "ON" the track.
Black Widow and Sizzler were Florida cars. |
