the "TUG" hill plateau just east of Lake Ontario's eastern shore does get serious meteorological levels of snowfall. without having to go into the Mountains..

and can be quite a bit less just 20 miles in any direction away.


but I don't feel we're really that exceptional.. unless one wants some serious snowmobiling country.

February camping in the Poconos, 0 degrees out and 8 inch snowfall the day before. One of the best trips we had, buses handled the snow like champs

Our campsite last night. No snow on the Bus, but snow in the trees! Up the hill from Manti, Utah.
