|
|
Hello everyone,
I have a '57 Deluxe bus and need some help. The previous owner decided the engine vent trim spears were too flashy so he removed the trim and filled in all the holes . . . with a MIG welder. So I'd like to put the vent trim back on but there is no way to tell where the previous holes were located. Could somebody with an early deluxe bus provide me with the measurements of the holes? This would include the original hole diameter, the spacing between the holes, and the distance up from the edge of the vent louver. The more accurate the better (i.e. in mm would be great). I'm assuming the center hole on each louver is in the center of the louver but it would be great to get confirmation of that before I start drilling. Thanks in advance, really appreciate the measurements, I couldn't find them anywhere.

Thanks Thom!
I was at OCTO today and pulled some measurements as well in case this helps someone in the future.
The holes are 3 mm
The distance from the edge of the louver to the center of each hole is 4 mm
The center hole is lined up with the center of the louver
The holes are 10 mm apart from each other, as shown in Thom's photo. |

you probably mean the holes are 10cm (100mm) almost 4 inches apart from each other _________________ regards
