OK - somebody explain this to me. It seems like the sunroof crank is simply a geared shaft with a handle. Does it only turn so many times and stops? Did a sunroof repair and now they say it wont close the whole way. The Bently talks about turning the the handle a certain number of times when installing. I don't understand...Help

The most common problem with the sliding metal sunroof is the rear vertical adjustment needs attention.

OK - I think that manual answered the question. The crank will only turn so many times and the it hits an internal stop. So, all I need to do is drop the gear drive, turn it a couple turns CCW and reinstall the gear drive and it will be good. I must have set it too close to the max turns.

Thanks!

The car should be dropped off Sunday so I can fix this and replaced the vent latch. I hate it when I send a car home and it's not perfect.
