|
|
I was looking around in the galleries for pics of door jambs and such, My bus is going to paint hopefully within the next 2 weeks. I want to paint it close to original.
I did decide to go Sealing wax red and beige grey as original and the m-codes go, instead of the Sea Blue I talked about earlier.
In an original paint job where does the bottom color get taped off in the door jambs and stuff?
The photos i saw didnt show too much and alot dont state original or respray etc etc.
So anyone have original door jamb pics. _________________ Castle Rock, Co

I recall reading here that there is something novel about the way the paint lines are done on driver\passenger door jams in the upper hinge area. Does anyone have more detail as to how they were done at the factory? _________________ 1959 Type II Mango SO-23

What year is the bus? My 61 is SWR/BG but the paint was different in 62. The 61 has red dash and the exposed inside part of the top of the door is red on the inside. I have a 63 door on the driver side and the top of the door on the inside is BG.
Here is a 66 bus:
searching for 'jamb' in the gallery didn't give much info

I have an original paint '63 Deluxe. If you need any specifics on where the paint lines are in the door jams, etc. Let me know and I can post pics.
Some of them are a little weird.
Here's some right side front door jam pics I posted for another restoration being done a little while ago:
