Hey guys, i have a 58 rear apron that has a curve/ indent in it. There is some damage around the locking mechanism but don't know if this would of caused the whole apron to bend uniformly. Is this normal or is it supposed to be straight? In the pics below you can see the gap when placed against a straight edge. Any help would be great.

Something's wrong, it's been stood on, or pried due to a lost church key or stuck lock, or crash damage below that was hammered out improperly, it should be straight.
You'll have to do some shrinking on the lower face to bring it back to straight, you may even have to put a slice or two in it and weld it back up. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't need to weld anything, I bolted down the sides and used a jack to push the bend out of the middle. Everything's straight now. Thanks |
