Not sure what the problem is....
I have a 2180 with FK8 and Steve Tims heads and have no problem with just both valve covers vented to a Berg breather.
|
And that breather is vented how/where ? _________________ Looking for SP Kadron manifolds...please !!

A stock breather on a stock 1600 mid 70s Eurpoean T1 engine after VW deleted the downpipe and fed the air cleaner instead is almost 3/4 inch ID.
Fit a bigger barb and hose to the fuel pump blockoff amd feed that to the breather box.
The setups that work all have bigger hoses. _________________ Ancient vehicles and vessels

I like that idea of putting a filter/breather where the oil fill cap was. Smart |
It looks pretty now but will eventually be a goopy mess.
Been there. |
How is it any different that a breather box with a filter? The CSP box is baffled. _________________ 4inBhore

Vented to the right rear fender with a foam button filter. It's a low pressure area and helps evacuate the case. _________________ Glenn

Resolved...This is crazy, but after all I tried and changed the whole breater setup, it persisted.
So I washed everything off for a new start, fired it up and let it idle.....nothing!
Reved it for a while to maybe 2K, and here it comes....outa the oil pressure sender ! A fine mist of oil.
I've had these fail before, but it usually shows up at idle too.
Almost embarrassing. _________________ Looking for SP Kadron manifolds...please !!

Great news the …….set up is fine. Just the sender.
Don’t be too hard on yourself, sender misting is not that common…..at least I’ve never seen it. Did the mist come from the male bolt or the device itself? |
