Disregard all the obvious issues - trying to do some remote trouble shooting for a guy and there is a laundry list of issues, but I am curious what distributor this is. Thanks!

Any info - is it remotely decent? Just curious - Like I said - trying to help this guy fix his car remotely. His main problem is going to be vacuum leaks, but wanting to offer any other suggestions.... Thanks _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

I switched it to points and still works now. Distributor itself is great, but any of the add on electronic ignitions to me are not trustworthy anymore. _________________ [email protected] MPH 1/4 Mile & 8.1 @ 83.7MPH in 1/8 Mile with Mild Type 1 VW Mag Case 2234cc commuter engine in stock weight bug w/only .491 total lift(CB2292 Cam), 42x37 heads, 48idf's, Street tires, Belt on, Mufflers, Pump gas, video of the run here: https://youtu.be/M3SPqMOKAOg

Sort of strange looking coil in first pic too..
Blowing up pic it sort of looks like extra lead off what may be negative side of coil going where (white wire - to diagnostic terminal?) ... Sort of wonder if coil is wired correctly with all the wires done non stock....
Also look at intake manifold ... Duct tape around the connector and under hose clamps...

I wonder what the effect to the airflow on the right side of the engine would be with the right heater hose connected to the preheat stove pipe. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

some tymes it's not the parts that are bad or go bad but the parts installer and associated non mixable reliably parts that is the issue. but you cant get a exspurt to agree.they know everything. |
