Ok so I was able to get my camshaft in and set the cam and thrust. I measured the thrust and there is a good clearance and the cam spins freely! Yeahhh!
The main bearings fit in the case great without any wobbles.
The crank is a cb 69mm. I went to put the bearings on the crank and they don’t fit. Too small.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I’ll just post my measurements in the picture.

The top measurements are obviously the main bearings I.D.
The bottom measurements are the crank O.D.

So I’m guessing my bearings are the wrong size? I’m confused.
Sorry for the newbie question again!

Could you clarify? I know the case was align bored .020 and I ordered bearings without any thrust and .020 size.
The bearing are too small for the crank or the crank is too big for the bearings. I’m guessing my bearings ID are too small. Weird.

The entire bearing part number list is at the end of the blueprinting sheet

Looks like you need 111198471

Crank Case Thrust

111 198 471 STD .020 STD

Bearings have 3 measurements.

Case / Crank / Thrust

Your case is .020", the crank is STD and the thrust is STD.

You got .020"/.020"/STD

Thanks for the link fl59bug. That’s the ones I need.
Now that it’s been explained (and I ruined the set I have) I’ll know for my next motor I build. Haha. (I had already notched the bearings)
Thank you for clarifying for me. I’m actually not afraid to ask stupid questions. I would rather ask now than not ask later and have problems....
Embarassed

We ALL had to learn the fine points of building an engine. Now you know what you need to proceed. Good luck with it, and ask before you modify a part that still doesn't fit.

I didn’t modify a part to MAKE it fit.
I tried the bearings in the journals and they fit great. Then decided to notch the bearings.....THEN tried to slip the bearings onto the crank and uh! oh!
Lesson learned. Should have test fitted them BEFORE notching them.
