I bought a very nice condition front floormat ~5 years ago. Seller told me it came from a fire department and belonged to a low milage bus.
I'm loving it..

Here's some more work I would like to share with you!
There were some dents in the lower nose area. To keep the amount of filler acceptable I tried to get the worst dents out with a slide hammer. I also tried the old football trick, but since the dents were in the lower portion of the V, it didn't work as well as I'd hoped.
I just used cut off nails to weld them to the skin.
Attached the sliding hammer and off we go. I was surprised how gentle of a tap already pulled the majority out.
I applied some filler here and there. There're still some subtle dents and waves in the panel, but that doesnt bother me. The rest of the bus will keep it's original paint/patina, so I'm not chasing the resto look.
Next up, primer
Followed by sand green. I took along the window sills too. Although I'm not big fan of fauxtina, I might rub the palm green paint a bit in this area to match it better with the rest of the bus.
And of course, palm green!
Almost assembled again 
And took the bus for a drive around the block.
Then I found out that I could not get it in 1st, 2nd or reverse  .
This was working before, but I guess I changed the alignedment of the gear stick ( I removed to paint the floor last winter).
Oh well, that'll my next task then.

Nice work on the front Peter. That floor mat is in great condition- far better than original cracked rhd mat but I suspect mine is original to the bus so I'm hoping to make it work 😊
I hope the gear selection proves to be an easy fix.

Thanks Dave, I would run an original floormat anytime, no matter how tatty it looks lol

Love it! What technique did you/your painter use for the pinstripe? Taping, free-hand or a special device (can't remember how it's called)

Took some time today to weld up the hacks I did to mount my seat belts.
I used brackets which fit nicely between the ribs of the bulkhead ánd fit the b-pillar
To get them in the pillars I obviously had to cut a hole in each of them. Now was the time to fix those holes, so I can fit the interior panels.
Forgot to take more pictures, but it’s ready for filler/paint.
Also fabricated tabs for the long panel. Not sure how many brackets there were but I figured 4 along the bottom should work.
I tried to spot weld them, but for some reason I always struggle to get a proper attachment before I weld up the hole 
All 4 welded!
Would it make sense to put some heat isolation behind the interior panel, like rock wool? Or will that just be a moisture trap?
