We have about 10 of these early sliding door handles in stock at the moment. They are aftermarket, made by JP Group. However, a customer told me recently that they removed the lock cylinder from their OEM handle and moved it into this one. So it can be made to work with the original key without too much trouble. Considering this item is basically NA someone with an early van who is motivated to keep it stock can be happy to find an original handle at any price...
...but for me I'll go for the 20eur later handle and modify it to my early van.
