Hello everyone,
In between a couple of projects I am going to work on this one:
I plan on a 091 trans, really nice interior (camper) and biggest detail of all... Subaru 2.5 conversion. I found this bus and bought it. I am hoping to make this into a very informative Subaru conversion thread for all to learn. For the longest time I couldn’t imagine anything but air cooled powering my buses. However, now in my forties, comfort and reliability are more important. This delta green sweetheart is a 1970. I have already converted the front to 1971 discs and the rear to the small five hubs. Rust wise believe it or not, non existent!! It needed a battery tray, (I already installed a new AC from WW)Could use front floor outers, that’s it! I hope others that have done the Subaru upgrade- conversion post pictures here with descriptions, again I want this thread to be very informative. |

Hi there,
Several years ago I did some work for a customer who had bought a 1972 high top off eBay.
When I was done it looked like this
When I finished, the bus was shipped to him in Florida. He finished out the interior and added a/c. Sometime later, he did the Subaru conversion.
Nice guy. You can try contacting him here:
