My 67 beetle has some rear seat belts. The thing is that I don’t know if they are the correct ones. They have 1967 written on it, but those seat belts look like the ones introduced for the 68 beetle. Were those the correct seatbelts or were there some lobster claw variants for the back seat passengers??

Rear seatbelts were not factory provided, I believe, in 1967 (it wasn't until 1968), so there are a variety of rear seatbelts the dealer may have provided - or none at all! I believe American Standard was the provider of VW seatbelts for a significant period of time. The ones in my 67 were American Standard, and the same ones provided in other cars at the time (GM cars).

There were some Lobster claw rear seat belts available for Beetles, but I don't believe in 67. I have some pulled from a 71.

I believe the 68 factory (I may be incorrect here, as these are, also, American Standard) provided ones were:

Thanks for the quick reply! I also had another doubt regarding factory correctedness and seatbelts.

Do these plugs cover the usual lapbelt mounting holes, the center receiver holes, or the shoulder point holes??
