So , a few samba members confirmed my deluxe 15 is a 1960 model. How can you tell? So the beginning of August 59 starts the 1960 year?

So the word on the street is you guys say its a 1960. That being said did early 1960s have a straight shifter? i thought that ended in 1959? This one has a straight shifter in it. |

I believe they did continue into 1960. Progressive Refinements mentioned lengthened shift and handbrake levers at Chassis # 501 707, which is the same Parts Catalog calls out. That puts it near the end of August 1959, which is early model 1960. _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

There was a fresh pile on the steering wheel and a family of raccoons living under and in it. _________________ 56 PGSG OG paint Wilson Avenue church

There’s a guy that owns an auto parts store here in Oklahoma thats a buddy of of a junk car buyer buys them for scrap or whatever scrap car guy sent my buddy that owns the Napa here in town and he sent me a picture of it and he got me the guys phone number that owned it and I bought it and went out there that afternoon and got it loaded he said it was used to store Hay in for 40 years. Said they bought it from Rightway Cleaners back in the late 60’s he asked if I was going to scrap it I laughed and said no. _________________ 56 PGSG OG paint Wilson Avenue church
