Isn't John the nicest guy for helping you out! Nice pickup on getting the bumpers too. Save up and eventually get a set of Matt Miller set cover/padding kits, not cheap, but they are the very best quality and correctness. You won't regret it! Maybe get John to eventually fix up a correct 36hp engine for that Bus too. But drive and enjoy it as-is for now. Panel Buses are cool! I love my '59 Double-Door Panel, and I wouldn't dream of getting rid of it.

John is the man for that, what a sweetheart! I will definitely be doing business with Matt Miller in the future, I’ve had the pleasure of being around a few busses with his seat covers. I need to pick up a curved back seat when I’m dialing in the cab, I was also able to talk to Clara at Bulli Brigade about my interior options Can’t wait to get it looking right.
As far as the engine goes I would love to build an Okrasa one day, but considering this is a self funded student project I will have to be patient. But hey, good things take time right!
The motor in it runs so I plan to go through and wait until I can afford something better.
That double door sounds sweet, I have always had a thing for Commerical busses.... and campers _________________ Motion Dynamic |

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! My break got cut short due to time missed from Hurricane Florence. I planned to drive straight from Wilmington to Asheville to pick up my bumpers and go straight to the garage in Charlotte. My snapped accelerator cable in the daily driver 70’ prevented me from getting very far Wednesday Thankfuly mom let me take the Honda the rest of the way on Thursday to collect my bumpers.
I worked at the skate shop in the mall for most of Black Friday weekend, to gain some extra cash. After the madness I had Saturday night to finally spend some time with my bus.
I picked up some hardware from Mark Rafferty to mount my bumpers, very impressed with the quality craftsmanship Mark puts into his work! I would highly recommend anyone do business with him...
Thank you Paul Zugg for the radio delete plate, AND selling me the bus in the first place you the man!
I love how it brings the dash together!
I also took some time to put my rear hatch back on, whoever did the restoration work on it before pop-riveted it on. I spent the night drilling riviets out, tapping some new threads and fitting my hatch.
It’s finally looking like a real bus! Sorry if this thread gets a little too pic heavy, I’m just too excited not to share _________________ Motion Dynamic |

Playing dress up yesterday, it’s almost been a year since I’ve picked up my bus... Lots of parts and pieces have been collected and I’m so close to putting it together, stay tuned

Pulled the motor last Friday and was able to pressure wash the engine bay
Got it on the stand and started cleaning things up
Guess I won’t be reusing these
No more awful blue engine tin
That’s about as far as I can go with my engine at the moment, being a student sucks! Pistons and cylinders are next on my long list of parts to buy.... _________________ Motion Dynamic |

But they are similar.
Good for you.
