Hello all!

I'm trying to save my steering box here... but got stuck in the middle of the job...

it had lost of play (more than 3 - 4 inches) and roughness if adjusted. So, here's what iI did so far:

1.- Cleaned all the grease some PO filled it with since it had a faulty input shaft seal.
2.- replaced both seals, polished input seal carrier for correct adjustment if input shaft
3.- replaced sector bronze... worm shaft looks healthy. No pitting or damaged threads....now stuck in removing it

Any thoughts or recomendations on how to remove the worm shaft for bearing replacement without damaging anything?

Thanks a lot in advance!
