Would narrowing the front beam 2” help fit larger (wider) front tires under stock fenders on a Thing?
Same with Rear, could bug rear drums or standard (bug) width rear disc brake kits help fit larger (wider) tires in the rear?
I plan on converting my Thing to 4 wheel disc brakes this winter with the AC Industries front and rear kits, and my front beam is rusty so I plan on replacing that as well with one with adjusters set to raise, just curious if narrowing would help or hurt.
Same with rear, I know I need the 1” wider rear disc brake kit, but if I got the bug kit it would narrow the rear same as a 2” narrowed front beam.
I know I will need 15” wheels, will this create all kinds of backspacing issues?
Will regular 15” bug smoothies or Jackman style wagon wheels work backspacing wise with this setup?
Picture of Thing shirt I made myself for no apparent reason -
