Thanks for this. I've been in that exact same place on a bike tour, one of the most beautiful areas of the planet. Goal is to drive there- or Lake Superior coast, can't make up my mind- summer of my 50th birthday in a couple years. Inspirational! _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. JimF you escaped! GoldTooth is not the only escapee.
I would have dangled a wrench in front of you - but you prevailed.
(wrench on weeknights, weekends are for outdoors!!)
Columbia National Wildlife Refuge looks like the better choice in March.
Very nice pics!!
Here's a pic of Ancient Lakes from May 2016. (from the VITW thread p54!)
I think I took this pic from the knoll where you parked (in the snow pic). _________________

Great place to ve camping!
Could you share details for the storage bags at the rear of your van? Are they homemade? Looks like a great use of usually unavailable space.

pnwkayaker,
That there's your Bravo Tool Organizer. Here's a link:
https://www.vancafe.com/Westy-Bravo-p/westybravov2.htm
The usual suppliers (GoWesty that I know of) also sell 'em.
Happy Trails,

It is a homemade thing.
I bought it from Amazon and installed snaps to the straps to snap it to the rear cabinet but still be able to remove it and take the tools with me wherever I need them.

dang that's nice looking and not just for the cabinet- the link shows it hanging from a seat back as well, which would be way better than the mesh bag I have now holding koozies, dog leashes and crap bags, soft dog dishes, sunscreen, and lord knows what else. Thanks for helping me spend my money! (also, though- cheap!) _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. I installed similar ones on the side walls in my non-Westy...Quite useful and unobtrusive:
