Hey Linda, I young lady am keeping my logo a secret until the reveal but as for the ice idea that would work. Check out what I found and you may be able to add like a Igloo or a Polar Bear silhouette with maybe a Polar added to be Polar Ice and a Igloo or Polar Bear on the side. I have my computer boxed up and in storage that has my design program on it as we are waiting for our new house to be finished but you at least can get an idea I also think these colors would pop nicely against the pearl white but lots of other colors would do as well. If I think of anything else I will post as well. Just got off work this morning and going to take a nap, it was a long night. Good Luck Linda

Thanks a Million Egood1 and Velvetgreen. Lots of work on this one trust me. Working on interior now. Hope to finish within a couple weeks to make sure I got everything and that all electrical works as should and go for a Cruize!😉
Will be posting more pics soon. Thanks again for the comments, Peter |

GERMANAIRE, please post some of those logo ideas as I often struggle with my pearl white as being dull but you got my heart pumping with yours and pearl white is a perfect canvas for logos. Being a sticker gal I love the sticker bus but I prefer logos of any kind. Got love the sticker bus (forgot the name).
I've always wanted the ICE bus

Thanks Linda, Pearl White is actually one of my favorite colors for a bus.
I think it’s cool 😎, but VW did have some great colors and have many more that are cool as well, PGSG, Dove Blue, Sealing Wax Red, Turkis, Mouse Grey etc. Considering vintage logos on this one and have several ideas may post one or two of them soon. Thanks again, Peter |

Really like your pop top and yes those vent windows can wreak havoc on your hands and fingers but patience is your friend with those. You definitely have plenty of clean canvas and lots of options. I got lucky on mine and just matched the look and colors from an antique I have as a display. Crazy my logo had been there for over 10 years all along, then this bus and the look came together perfectly Have you ever considered something along the lines of Island Tours or Cabin Rentals? I know you said you like the ICE logo bus but have u thought of any other options? |

Thanks nineteensixtyfivevg, been working hard on this one and finally can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Today I was able to get the roof panels in and it was a mission. Thanks to the pull strings I added to get the panels into the channel it made it easier but still a difficult job. Glad I went with the seat color Matching Roof Panels, it makes a world of a difference and I liked that detail. Not bad for garage cut and made roof panels traced from OG ones. Still more to come, Fall Shows right around the corner and the Family and I would like to attend

Looks great GERMANAIRE, how did you use those pull strings? Is it anything like installing solid windows?

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

Hey Linda, On each side of the panel that sits inside the channel I drilled tiny holes about 1/8” , big enough to allow for the pull string to fit about 1/4” to 5/16” from edge. I separated them evenly on the side so it will pull and get them to sit inside the channel as the panel tends to bow out of the channel when you initially install them. I would recommend using gloves or a tool to help pull the string as it can dig in to the skin trust me I also followed Clara’s advise on the piece of wood and hammer on the rear edge to spread the impact when tapping the panels forward into place. Hope this helps. How is your bus coming along? |

Got a little more work done to the Bus and coming along slowly. Went out and got myself a Sony sound system and a XK Glow Lighting Kit. Wanted speakers on the side panels at the rear seats so I had to buy spacers. Found 1” spacers but was not enough so I had to add 5/16” more. They stick out some but they came out nice and the stainless spacer gives it a little detail. The stainless ring is for plumbing and actually used for installing toilets but gave me the exact spacing I needed, Oh well sometimes you have to do what you have to do! Did not need any spacers for the front kick panels but used the stainless rings on the front as well to keep the same theme. Liking the overall look as I normally build all stock lowered on stock 15” bus wheels or Fuchs but this time I went a little more custom. My last build was totally stock so this time I went For it and I am liking the look so far. Should be Cruizing soon😎🙏🏻🤞

I think the bus looks terrific. The paint, the stance, the wheels, the interior color and the way you detailed all of it, the stereo install, all excellent and really timeless. I think the purple glow kit belongs on a 90s rice mobile with a big wing, but it isn't my car!
Very nice job and documentation! |
