Well that is quite the thing.
I like it.
I also wonder just how it works.... _________________ "...these cars were preferred by the racers because the strut front suspension results in far superior handling than the regular torsion bar front end..." - Keith Seume. |

I agree, I dig the look. And, I've always wanted a black alternator. Would look great with my motor.

Last I checked wires were still the only way to get power from one place to another... |

I think I see a wide flat conductor wrapping around the RH side of it and going underneath, likely to that wire seen in the background. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Ditto...
If its truly a "no wire" Chirco has finally proved and perfected Nicola Tesla theory in transmitting power thorough the air...
All the have really done is made a not visible from top wired alternator...

MY question is, whats the origin of the actual alternator? I've seen a number of Chinese units have the bearings fail within a short time after being installed. _________________ Glenn

Probably is just an AL82NC painted black with a flat cable as busdaddy pointed out. _________________ Wash your hands

I just painted mine to match.
Not really concerned about the wires.
In fact I’d rather they be visible and accessible. _________________ Volkswagen!

For being wireless it has a rather uncanny appearance of having a black and a blue wire coming out of the backing plate. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

Wire is just hidden. Even the wireless chargers, which I use have a wire at least somewhere. |

Alternators are mostly empty inside. Easy to make the connections internal and run wires out the back and between the backing plate tins. Lots of room there too.

There's a Mr. Tesla who strongly disagrees with your statement . Dale, too.
And no, I'm not talking about Mr. Musk. |
