As I get into the final (long) stretch of my fixing up of my Syncro I saw some real goals and motivations today. Just what I needed! I wish my Syncro looked like this and hopefully by next spring it will.

Was headed from PDX on Hwy 26 to my home in just outside of Redmond OR. Spotted one metric shit-ton (yes, that's an official unit of measurement) of westys and with a few Mitsubishi Delica mixed in. They weren't in a single group, but it sure looked like they were all headed either to or from a single event. None had the telltale playa dust so I'm not thinking it was Burning Man either.
Anybody know what event this was? _________________ previous:

Spotted these 2 at Glacier NP last week. Saw a few more on the road which was nice, because we see very few around home.

I was there last week in my blue tintop. I definitely remember seeing that tan westy around too. You werent parked at logan pass last Tuesday morning in a grey Westy by chance were you?
6300 miles, about a dozen Westys. By the way, those louvered inserts from Vanistan are fantastic!
Had an impromptu caravan with a Westy from Alberta going down through Banff.

Home Depot, West Seattle
I think I’ve seen this van a couple years ago, in a relatively upscale Seattle suburb called “Top Hat”.
Its an automatic, and looks like original paint.
A little dealer decal on the back says “Winnipeg”. _________________

Spotted a Westy near our usual Friday night Mexican Restaurant outing.
Lawrence Ave .
I think it had the spare tire swing out on the back.
There’s a brown Westy not too far from it that lives on a side street.
And as always, the trio of dead Vanagons across from Smoque BBQ restaurant, quietly waiting to be sprung from their dead slumber in what appears to be a defunct Auto Service Place....2 Westy’s and 1 Tintop if I remember correctly
Hmmm, I wonder what shape the best of the lot is in,,,,,
Like I need another project..... _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

Saw this '83 parked at a nursery today when we stopped for some garden stuff. It's wearing some butch General Grabbers, a tough looking 14" tire.

Skyline Drive today, just south of Thornton Gap where Route 211 crosses, I was northbound and saw a white Syncro Westy headed south. Big wheels and tires, big bumpers with a rear mounted spare and some lift; a nice looking rig. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

Drove up to the mountains yesterday and cruised through Trevilians VA on the way to check on this one, and it appears to have not moved for a couple of years. Need to get Popsvan to check it out again; it's too nice a van to let sink into the ground. At last report it was to be getting a Sube swap.
