The truck is a Bedford (British manufacturer), but these aren't in Britain. The registration plate on the van is wrong and they're both left hand drive.
I'm thinking that the registration plate looks Dutch?

I believe SLIDE film is generally a superior quality than standard film. In the past a lot a Pro's used slide film for that very reason, especially for the bold colour representation.
